Aviation Photography Spotting Locations Impressions Final Approach Links Contact

30/01/2012 - After almost three full months without any spotting activity, it’s time for some new photos. I managed to make my way back to Salvador, one of my absolute favorite spotting locations (and vacation spots). Even if only for two days, this was certainly one of my best and most enjoyable weekends ever. Fantastic company, excellent food, lots of sun, nice beaches and a fantastic spotting location. In sum, this trip was exactly what the doctor ordered!

Among the “avgeek” highlights of this particular trip was the opportunity to sit inside the engine cowling of a classic Boeing 737-300 CFM56-B2 (my favorite airplane). Then, for all those who grew up with VARIG’s classic Lockheed L-188 Electra, seeing, hearing and spotting a P-3AM Orion after 20+ years is something which brings tears back. Finally, Webjet's second Boeing 737-800SFP and Azul's "Azul Viagens" logojet were also a major highlight.

Enjoy & Happy Landings!
